Legal social counselling

The staff in the legal social counselling help clarify simple legal enquiries of people with low incomes and thus difficult access to legal counselling.
The assistance is provided through general counselling on various legal issues, interventions with authorities, support in enforcing the law and networking and cooperation with other institutions.
Counselling is offered either through a personal conversation, by telephone or by email counselling. The aim of legal counselling is to find a solution to the client's problem, to point out possible solutions or to refer the client to the competent authorities.
Legal counselling depends on the active participation of the clients. This means, above all, the submission of all relevant documents and presentation of the relevant facts, keeping the agreed appointments at Caritas and external appointments and, if necessary, organising translation assistance.
