Affordable housing - living together

Affordable, temporary housing for people who have difficult access to housing on the private and public housing market due to their current circumstances.

Affordable housing in urban areas is becoming increasingly difficult to find for many people. With the project "Affordable Housing - Living Together" we would like to support people who in their current living situation cannot rent a suitable flat on the private or public housing market. The offer ranges from small single flats to large family flats.

We not only provide living space, but also offer a lived-in and tangible alternative to anonymous living in the big city. The people in our houses are invited and supported to build and live a functioning, mutually respectful and supportive house community.

The majority of the flats are located in the two main locations of the project. There are 21 flats in Haus Josef in Grabenstraße and 33 in Haus Maria in Keplerstraße. Here, Caritas itself has provided and invested in high-quality and affordable housing.

Our staff also provide counselling and support in case of challenges regarding the housing situation and in maintaining the tenancy. The counselling and support services are voluntary.
