Professional specialists come to the family's own familiar home and provide support in difficult life situations. They help the parents and the entire family with the upbringing of the children, cooking, shopping, household chores and organise and manage the household.

Flexible assistance in the area of mobile child and youth welfare services

The mission of flexible assistance is to support families with various challenges in everyday life, in difficult phases of life and in conflict situations. In phases of life that are difficult to cope with, families are provided with tailor-made support for a limited period of time through the flexible assistance in the area of Caritas mobile child and youth welfare.

Caritas Mobile Family and Disability Work

Family assistance is a Styria-wide mobile service. We support families with minor children in difficult life situations and provide relief within the framework of assistance for the elderly. Our specialised staff comes to the families and provides personal support in the familiar environment.

The competencies of the staff range from practical support and everyday knowledge transfer to assistance with various official procedures and pedagogical interventions in the family system. Guidance and learning from the model play a major role in dealing with the families.

Household Organisation Training (HOT)

HOT is aimed at families who are not (or no longer) able to manage their (family's) everyday life or who lack basic skills in household and everyday organisation.

HOT is a training programme for step-by-step and sustainable learning of basic competences for coping with everyday life. It facilitates the recognition of successes through reflection on agreed goals. The training only ends when changes have stabilised permanently.  If necessary, household organisation training prepares for and supports the transition to more extensive services in the family.
